ADOPT A KIWIN'S

What is Adopt a KIWIN'S?

Adopt a KIWIN'S is a program to help members attend our annual District Convention, and the annual Key Club International Convention. This year, International Convention takes place on July 1st-5th, at the Hilton Anatole, Dallas, Texas. It is a completely free to use program that only requires you to sign up for (very similar to GoFundMe). You are required to be a dues-paid member and super sure to be attending ICON. ​​

What is KIWIN'S?

KIWIN'S is the 32nd District of Key Club International. We are located in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. There are over 44 clubs with approximately 2,500 members and growing. We promote good citizenship through service. CNH KIWIN'S performs service deeds with fellow members to improve their schools and communities. Local service gives KIWIN'S members the satisfaction of seeing the results of their efforts. In most cases, CNH KIWIN'S clubs are based on a high school campus under the guidance of their Faculty Advisor(s). Some clubs may function off campus under the authority of their Kiwanis Advisor(s).

What is DCON (District Convention)?

DCON — short for District Convention — is the biggest and most exciting event of the KIWIN’S year. It’s a 3-day weekend packed with celebration, leadership development, and unforgettable memories. Every spring, members from across the California-Nevada-Hawai'i District come together for one purpose: to honor a year of service and growth — and to spark even more.

DCON isn't just a trip, it is a transformative experience featuring:

  • Spirit Battles

  • Awards & Recognition

  • Networking and Bonding

  • Photo Opportunities & Memories

  • Keynote Speakers & Panels

  • Governor's Ball

What is ICON (International Convention)?

ICON — short for International Convention — is the largest and most inspiring annual event within Key Club International. This 5-day experience brings together thousands of members from around the world for a one-of-a-kind celebration of service, leadership, and global connection. Each summer, Key Clubbers unite for one purpose: to recognize the impact they've made, and to ignite an even greater passion for serving others.

ICON isn't just a convention, it is a life-changing experience featuring:

Why we're Fundraising.

Every KIWIN'S member deserves the chance to experience DCON & ICON — no matter their financial situation. While DCON & ICON are unforgettable, attending it comes with a cost. Between registration fees, hotel stays, transportation, meals, and other expenses, the total can add up to hundreds of dollars per student. Many of our members are hardworking, dedicated, and have poured their time and heart into serving their schools and communities all year — and we want to make sure cost doesn't hold them back from this opportunity.

That’s where YOU come in.

Your donation directly helps students attend DCON & ICON, where they'll grow as leaders, build lifelong friendships, and be recognized for their service. Every dollar raised goes toward covering:

  • ✅ Registration Fees

  • 🚗 Transportation Costs

  • 🏨 Hotel Accommodations

  • 🍽️ Meals During the Trip

  • 👕 Club/Division Spirit Gear (shirts, accessories, etc.)

Whether you choose to donate to the general fund or directly support a specific attendee, your contribution helps make DCON & ICON accessible, inclusive, and life-changing for the students who’ve earned it.

With International Convention approaching, Adopt a KIWIN'S has opened back up, and will be taking applicants until registration ends on May 21st!
