CHRIS WONG - MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION CHAIR

What kind of animal best describes you?
A Panda. I love pandas. They're big, cute, and huggable. I'm none of those, but I just love pandas.

What's your favorite food?
Rice. I cannot function correctly without rice. Like a car cannot function without fuel, I cannot function without rice. It's a food that is embedded into me. I've been called a rice trashcan many, many times. It is a title that I am very proud of, almost as proud of as my Membership Development and Education Chair title.

Who do you admire the most?
I admire my father the most. To me, the man is invincible. There's nothing in the world that can hurt him and he can do absolutely anything. He's been through so much, yet he seems unscathed by it and continues to be the most amazing person I know and an incredibly father. I draw inspiration from my admiration of my father, and continue to do my best and give it my all because of that man.

Which planet would you most like to visit?
Uranus. No puns / joke intended. I think it's a beautiful planet, its aqua/teal textured surface is amazing. Those rings are quite out of this world as well, literally. However...I guess I can't really VISIT it...because its a ball of gas.

Why KIWIN'S over any other high school club?
Why not? I love community service and I love this club. I've met so many amazing people through this club and I share so many memories with this club, it's hard not to choose KIWIN'S. I've got a passion for serving and this is my outlet!

Has anyone inspired you to take on the role as a district officer?
Well...I can't say that anyone has inspired me exactly. But I can tell you that I continue to do what I do for all the members out there.

Any words of advice?
Yes. Public speaking is not that bad. In fact, it's a great tool that opens many doors. If you can get over that fear of speaking to strangers it will create many more opportunities for you. And when you are speaking, be confident. Don't second think about yourself, be sure of yourself. You don't have to know 100% what you're talking about exactly, don't make things up but never ever sound nervous or unsure. Be sure of yourself and others will soon follow suit.
